Brittany Duncan, a 16-year-old Junior at Overland High School and will be competing in her third season of racing Legend Cars in 2009.  Prior to Legend Cars, Brittany raced several seasons in quarter midgets and had much success.  Aside from racing, Brittany is an honor student with a 4.2 GPA and is active in clubs such as: FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America a member of the national honor society, a link leader (Freshman Helper), also is apart of the Principals advisory council, and is the girl’s basket ball team manager.

 

Brittany was a rookie in Legend Cars during the 2007 season and had several top-10 finishes.  The season ended for Brittany with a heat race win and a 2nd place finish in the main event during a race in Gering, NE.  After missing 9 races during the season in 2007, Brittany was 13th in the Rocky Mountain Legends Racing Association Points and second in rookie points.  At the I-25 Speedway in Pueblo, Brittany was awarded Rookie of the Year after finishing 9th in points.

 

In 2008 Brittany came out full force with a third place finish in the RMLRA season point standings out of over 56 drivers.  Brittany capped off a sensational season with a Trophy Dash win during the “High Plains Shootout” in Gering, NE.  Brittany also finished third in points at I-25 Speedway.  During the year, Brittany had three top 5 finishes along with fifteen top 10’s.  In the National Legend standings, Brittany finished 20th out of over 200 Young Lion drivers and 33rd out of over 650 Semi Pro drivers.

 

Brittany got her start in racing at a young age as she raced quarter midgets for 8 years.  Brittany claimed 4 state championships along with several local and regional championships and many feature wins.  In 2004 Brittany placed 7th in the Heavy AA division at the Western Grand Nationals.

 

In 2008, Brittany plans on running the full RMLRA season as 30 events are scheduled at four tracks.  The tracks are: Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne, WY; Colorado National Speedway in Erie, CO; I-25 Speedway in Pueblo, CO; and Hi-Way 92 Raceway Park in Gering, NE., NE.
